About Dr. Zajdel

Dr Zajdel is a board certified Family Physician with specialty certification in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.  Her holistic approach toward patients' health problems represents a fundamental health care approach.  Instead of being disease oriented, Dr. Zajdel's method is patient oriented.  Her practice is focused on Manual Medicine.  She treats adults, infants and children for musculoskeletal and neurological disorders.  Examples of which range from back and neck pain, disk disease, migraine/headaches, sport or accident related injuries, closed head injuries, arthritis and other rheumatologic conditions in adults to plagiocephaly (abnormal shaped head), colic, reflux/GERD and scoliosis in infants and children.  She also looks at diet and nutrition and how it plays a role in chronic medical conditions. In deciding on treatment options, Dr. Zajdel weighs not only the disease, but also how it has affected other regions of the patient's body and their mental and spiritual wellbeing.

Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) is a recognized form of medicine that, in addition to traditional medicine, uses manipulative treatment of the skeleton and soft tissues of the body.

Patients may be interested in knowing that treating painful conditions with OMT can involve fewer drugs, cost less for treatment and result in less downtime from work or recreational activities when compared with traditional medicine.  When she refers patients to specialists, Dr. Zajdel maintains a close communication to the patient's needs for quality care are met.

Dr. Zajdel received her medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (Biddeford, ME). She completed both her postgraduate internship and Family Medicine residency training at Garden City Hospital (Garden City, MI).

She then spent one year at the University of North Texas Health Science Center/Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (Fort Worth, TX) and Mercy General Health Partners (Muskegon, MI) for her specialty training in NMM-OMM. In 2018 Dr. Zajdel earned her fellowship in the American Academy of Osteopathy.
